17.

Happy 17 months in the world baby boy.
And oh how you love to explore this big world around you.

Everything is interesting to you.
Lint is interesting.
Coffee cups, fascinating.
Jello, amazing.
The door in your room, pretty much the coolest thing ever.
And Blackberrys, don't even get me started. You are your father's son.
If it's electronic, you must have it.
Or else.

You also loooooovvveee music.
At school, they can't keep you away from the bells and the drums.
Your little fake iPod that plays 20 nursery rhyme songs sung by offkey British kids, is your favorite toy in all the land. In fact, you sleep with it. Just in case you need to jam in the middle of the night.
And you are into everything.
You love to climb up on chairs, tables, anything you can hoist yourself up on, actually.
You officially run faster than me.
And you'd rather be outside than any place on earth. Kicking the soccer ball on the patio, swinging and sliding at the park, or just walking down the sidewalk on our street. Anything. If it's outside, it's your favorite. And that includes the dogs next door. You're a little bit obsessed with them right now, and you love to watch them out the living room window. Everytime you're anywhere near the window you start making your version of the "woof woof" sound. It's pretty cute. And speaking of sounds, you're slowly but surely starting to make them. You're not a big talker, but you really like to say "Abra" ('open' in Espanol), "Yeah", "Dada", "Gracias", "Ball", "Bird" and "Taaadaa!"
(Taaadaa is what you say when you balance something on your head). You do this a lot.
You are hilarious and sweet and wonderful and loved.

Happy 17-month birthday, NiƱo Harry.

We Heart Parties

The night before Valentines, we're on our way to the St. Paul's Duckling Class "Daddy and Me" Valentines Party.
And oh my gosh, we're excited.

Once we arrive at the party, Harry and James are forced, against their will, by the teachers to make a Valentines card. James sticks hearts on the card, Harry takes them off and sticks them on his face. Or on the floor. Or in his mouth. Or on the floor and then in his mouth.
We didn't make it home with the card, so I'm not exactly sure how it turned out. But I'm positive it was lovely.

On a related note, we got a note from school yesterday that Lilly kept kissing Harry during snack time.
(Harry's first kiss: 2/13/7)This is Lilly. She's a total babe.

Ladies Love Cool Jameses
The "Daddy and Me" Valentines bash was a huge hit.

Afterwards, we went to dinner.
And, for seemingly no reason,
Harry threw up.

Maybe it was the kiss.(This photo was taken moments before he threw up.
Believe it or not, that's cornbread and chicken, not vomit.)

(Then again, maybe it wasn't the kiss.)
